My wife suggested I get a separate Facebook..one just for my 3-D pictures and fellow 3-D fanatics, so I did just that. Now I'm on Facebook at
Just a note...all the images I've been posting there can also be seen in my gallery here...but maybe I'll post some that will be exclusively for my Facebook. Anyway, please come check it out and lets be "friends"!
Looking for images
Well, I've run into a problem....I normally find cool wallpaper images to do 3-D conversion on, but I just got slapped with a copyright infringement warning....for a picture I did over a year ago....apparently the picture belonged to someone who didn't appreciate my 3-D conversion...well, I don't want to get into any more trouble with the bosses here on Deviantart, so I'm going to stop looking for wallpaper images....I just don't think it's safe to do anymore.....so I'm putting out this request....if anyone out there would like to see one or more of their images converted into 3-D, please let me know....of course I will refer always to your o
My new depth map group on Deviantart
Just because I've been asked by several people to show the depth map needed to do a 3-D conversion, I've decided to start a group just about depth maps....right here at Depth Map..http://depthmaps.deviantart.com/
I'll try to post as many as I can, and I welcome other anaglyph 3-D converters out there to post your own depth maps for us to see!
My latest obsession....my grail diary replica
Well, it's finally finished...a year's worth of work went into making this, my 4th attempt, at making a replica of Henry Jones' grail diary from "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade".
And I finally finished making a website to show a few pages from the diary...if you'd like to see it, click here:

Displacement mapping 3-D...my latest obsession
As you may have noticed, I've really gotten into the technique of making a 2-D image into an anaglyphic 3-D image using displacement mapping. It was difficult at first, but I've caught on to it pretty well now, and although it's a bit more time-consuming and takes more patience, I think the overall effect is still pretty cool. I wish I had learned to do this a long time ago.
