Doing cross view is fairly easy. You just have to change up you technique a little. 

From watching your tutorial I see that you displace the color channel. Not that that is a bad way to do it I find it doesn't give you much control. 

 The technique I use is:
1. duplicate your image layer
2. displace the duplicate
3. go to Image>canvas size and set the width of the canvas to 200% then move your images accordingly.
  
    ie. for cross view you put the left image on the right on the left.  

to do an anaglyph from the 2 images you just need to copy the left image and paste it onto the red channel of the right image 

another major advantage to this technique is that you can make slight adjustments to your displace image
